System Rendering

To get an overview of our sales fair demonstrator, we put all the modules and parts in one big rendering file. The cookie team, the cocktail team and the system team in construction contributed big parts to it. It consists of several parts, which are put together in one assembly.

The active parts are highlighted by color, while frame and non-active components are grey. Except for the XTS, of course.

This scheme is important to see the dimensions and the space, that is required for the total assembly. It also shows, that the height of the modules, while not functionally important is not equal over the modules. This might be an issue for a next update.

Due to our constant feedback with suplliers, we could already implement the sensors in this assembly. On the right we see Hardware from Beckhoff and from Wenglor.

Introduction to MI5 (ger)

In the following video, we will give you a short introduction about the Project MI5. In general, we think of it as a perfect possibility for students, to enhance their practical experience. Since in universities, the focus lies on the theoretical stuff, we additionally learn to apply our newly learned skills.

This practical experience is unique for must of us, and challenges us. We recognize, that it can be a big step, from dry theory, to practical application.

Funktionale Sicht der HMI

Um dem mechatronischen Ansatz in unserem Projekt gerecht zu werden, arbeiten wir mit digitalen Skizzen.

Für die HMI ist es entscheidend, die relevanten Akteure in der Gesamtwirkungskette zu identifizieren, und anschließend den Informationsfluss darzustellen. Dies ist meist nicht mit nur einer Grafik schaffbar. Um einen Überblick zu erhalten sind verschiedene Sichtweisen notwendig, zum Beispiel die Sicht des Anwenders, des Wartungsingenieurs, und andere.

In dieser Phase gliedert sich diese Skizze eindeutig zur Initialphase, und Anforderungsspezifikation.

Simulation XTS and general process

To give the industry and our supporter a better understanding of the process, we visualized the modules that are docked to the XTS.

The simulation was done by Bernardt Cortes and Jordi Mas. Both students from the spanish university: Universidad Ramon Llull. They came to ITQ for 3 months, to get some working experience.
